Does anybosy know if the bar code scanner works for UK products or is fully specific for US foods

It will work but the database may not be very large if there are not many active UK subscribers. I haven't created metric reports that show me how many UK users are in the area.
However, if it's not found, by entering in details you'll be helping other UK subscribers by seeding the database with info.
